The Geosciences division within RSK Group plc, is one of the UK’s largest geotechnical and contaminated land consultancies. In addition, it can call on further related resources through RSK Group owning Structural Soils Ltd, the 200-strong site investigation and drilling contracting company. The company now has an exciting opportunity for a Geo-environmental Engineer to join the growing team in Glasgow. Working alongside an experienced team you will get involved with a vast array of development projects.
The company has a strong portfolio of clients in a wide number of sectors including rail, energy, property and construction, and the public sector). Current projects we are delivering from our Glasgow office include support to the Shotts Rail Electrification, gasworks investigation and remediation, local authority Part IIA, and regeneration-related projects.
A Geo-environmental Engineer is responsible for undertaking project investigations with both a geo-environmental and geotechnical content as directed by the Project Manager – seeing the Project through from commencement to completion. All Project work must be carried out with due diligence, adhered to by RSK procedures & completed within the given cost budgets and timescales agreed with the client. Good communication is required to inform/liaise with the client periodically with updates & any issues raised. It is expected that employees working at this grade will have project finance awareness, be client facing, self-motivated, exhibit a proactive approach, and work well within a team environment.
